New Hemodialysis Center in Port Sudan Nears Completion Amidst Widespread Support, Seeks Further Donations
In an ambitious effort to enhance kidney care in war-torn Sudan, the Habib Alrahman Charity Foundation (HACF) is nearing completion of a groundbreaking project: a new hemodialysis center in Port Sudan, initially equipped with 25 dialysis machines. The foundation has successfully raised approximately $700,000 towards this vital initiative but is reaching out to the global community for additional support to cross the finish line and cover ongoing operational costs. We are pleased to convey some significant developments to our sponsors and donors. Our organization raised a substantial sum of $70,000 with a targeted donation campaign. The campaign effort focused on supporting Sudanese kidney patients with comprehensive hemodialysis kits.  
We were able to secure 5,500 comprehensive hemodialysis kits, valued at 55,000 Euros. Currently in route from Turkey to Sudan with an estimated arrival of 10/26/2023. Subsequently, these supplies are scheduled for delivery to the Ministry of Health (MOH) for distribution to various hemodialysis centers in Sudan. Our steadfast commitment to fundraising endures as we continue to contribute to the procurement of indispensable medical provisions.
As we diligently persevere in our humanitarian efforts, our thoughts and prayers are steadfastly directed towards Sudan. We ardently hope for a swift resolution to the ongoing, devastating conflict.

Dec - 2022

We are extremely happy to share with you that we finally have the necessary funds to complete phase II (Transplant Center), including a laboratory and a pharmacy. This turned out to be a super lengthy process as summarized here: 
We received 675K from a donor in Qatar in Ramadan of 2021. The donor gave the money to Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) to accomplish the intended work; however, QRC requested 20% administrative fees. The overall processing by QRC is extremely slow. We went back to the same donor in 2022 and we were able to obtain an additional 400K. After a super lengthy processing we ultimately received the final approval by QRC which will have more than $1,000,000 to complete phase (II) of the project.

Regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant, the plant was already made in Turkey and is ready for shipment. The cost is 129,000 Euros and shipping fees is ~9000 Euros. We had already sent them ~122,000 Euros and I need your help to collect the remaining 17,000 Euros ASAP since the plant is taking a large space in their factory and they are pushing us very hard to take it ASAP. In addition, the shipping can significantly go up with more delays in shipping. I sincerely hope that those of you who have yet contributed to this plant will consider doing so.
